About this event

Five musicians walk into a room and something older than any of them decides to show up too. Jacob Rodriguez carries a baritone saxophone that has absorbed San Antonio heat and Brooklyn basement air in equal measure, and when he plays, the reed seems to remember all of it at once. Quinn Sternberg's bass does not merely keep time — it makes a case, low and patient, for why time matters.

Joe Enright reads the room from behind his kit the way certain people read weather, adjusting before anyone else knows adjustment is needed. Alex Taub finds the piano's interior geography, the places between the named notes where intention lives. Andy Page has played Montreux and Japanese jazz cruises and still shows up to the Blue Ridge with something left to say.
