About this event
Four musicians, each carrying decades of accumulated listening in their hands, arrive at Little Jumbo to build something that has never existed before. Jay Sanders bends guitar melody through angles only he can find, following light from Sonny Sharrock to John Hartford and past both into open country. Will Boyd moves between reeds and winds and the electronic architecture of his EWI, carrying frequencies shaped by red clay South Carolina churches into territories those churches never imagined.
Zack Page holds the low center, the gravitational fact that keeps everything else from scattering into the dark. Alan Hall, forty years into a conversation with rhythm, treats percussion not as a clock but as a particle accelerator, splitting beats open to see what lives inside.
