Sondra Hall has spent years watching her husband Alan pull music out of thin air, rhythm arriving to him the way words arrive to her, and that mystery never got smaller. It only grew into a question worth asking out loud. On November 11th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, she brings that question into Little Jumbo, where she'll sit down with two Asheville artists, mixed media creator Catherine Baumhauer and singer, storyteller, and ukulele player Kelle Jolly, to trace the strange path from spark to made thing.
What moves through a painter's hands might be the same current that moves through a voice, or it might be something else entirely. The evening opens with a facilitated conversation and then opens further into audience dialogue.
