About this event
Four musicians walk into a bar on a Tuesday night carrying decades of accumulated listening inside their bodies, which are themselves just stellar debris reassembled into something that decided to play music. Jay Sanders bends guitar through angles that Sonny Sharrock and John Hartford probably never imagined sharing, though somehow he makes that feel inevitable. Will Boyd's reeds and EWI carry frequencies from South Carolina red clay all the way out to wherever the atmosphere ends and open space begins.
Zack Page holds the gravitational center, the low mass everything else orbits without falling apart. Alan Hall treats rhythm the way a physicist treats matter, breaking it into smaller and smaller pieces until something elemental surfaces.
