Tall John's

Tall John's is a restaurant located in Asheville's historic Montford neighborhood, serving outstanding food and drink for daily dinner and Sunday brunch. The menu focuses on classic European-American dishes prepared with care and precision, with favorites including steak tartare, caesar salad, freezer-cold martinis, roast chicken, and a truly delicious burger.

Chef/Owner Trevor Payne's menus are updated regularly, inspired by seasonal ingredients, the culinary team's interests, and his extensive library of cookbooks. The restaurant offers elevated dining with a laid-back twist, and reservations are available, although walk-ins are always welcome.

The restaurant has a variety of seating options, including a bar, kitchen counter, dining room, and outdoor patio, which is dog-friendly and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The patio is open during both brunch and dinner service, weather permitting.

Tall John's is committed to pay equity and transparency, including a 5% Kitchen Service Charge on each check, which goes directly to kitchen wages. The restaurant also accommodates dietary restrictions, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options available, although the selection is not extensive.
