Asheville Humane Thrift Store

The Asheville Humane Thrift Store is a resale store where 100% of proceeds benefit pets in need. The store offers a great selection of furniture, clothing, and more.

The thrift store has weekly sales, including 50% off DVDs and CDs on Mondays, 50% off clothing on Wednesdays, 50% off dinnerware and drinkware on Fridays, and 50% off books on Saturdays. Customers can follow the thrift store on social media to stay up-to-date on the latest finds and sales.

The store accepts a variety of donations, including general store supplies, pet supplies, baby and children's items, clothing, accessories, jewelry, linens, lawn and garden items, seasonal items, electronics, appliances, exercise equipment, furniture, housewares, home decor, kitchen items, media, vintage and antique items, and vehicles. However, there are some items that the store cannot accept, such as rusted metal pet items, tie-out stakes, shock collars, cribs, car seats, gas appliances, large appliances, built-in microwaves, VHS players, tube TVs, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, air purifiers, and humidifiers.

The thrift store is located at 50 River Ridge Drive #130 and can be contacted at 828.761.2002 or thrift@ashevillehumane.org. Customers can also get directions to the store or learn more about donating items. The store offers a pickup service for large items, with a suggested starting donation of $40, depending on mileage and access.

In addition to the thrift store, the Asheville Humane Society also offers spay and neuter services, vaccine clinics, and wellness clinics to support pet health. The organization believes that essential veterinary care should be accessible to everyone and works with local animal welfare groups, veterinary clinics, and the Community Solutions team to provide these services.
